At Nhon Hoi A Industrial Park, businesses are gradually stabilizing operations after Storm No. 13. The timely implementation of tax support policies by Gia Lai province has created favorable conditions for enterprises to quickly return to their production pace.
The Gia Lai Tax Department has isssued detailed guidelines on a series of tax extension, exemption, reduction, and deduction mechanisms, helping businesses and household enterprises in disaster – affected areas ease financial pressure and focus on restoring operations.
Key tax support policies available to businesses include:
- Tax payment extensions of up to 2 years, with no pelnalties and no late payment interest for cases experiencing material damage caused by the storm.
- Businesses subject to especial consumption tax, natural resource tax, or land rent that are affected may submit applications for tax exemption or reduction depending on each special tax category.
- Businesses whose goods or services were damaged by flooding may deduct the full amount of input value-added tax, including the portion not covered by insurance compensation.
- Losses not covered by insurance may be counted as deductible expenses when determining corporate taxable income.
- For household and individual businesses, tax reduction levels will be based on the actual extent of damage.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son – Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Tax Department – the department is directing its subordinate units to proactively provide guidance and support with procedures in a prompt, transparent, and compliant manner, helping businesses access the preferential policies as soon as possible.
In addition, all procedures, forms, and contact information have been publicly posted on website, zalo and facebook of the tax department, making it more convenient for the business community - including enterprises in Nhon Hoi A IP – to complete the necessary procedures.
