To enhance the capability of prevention and timely response to emergency situations, Saigon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Corporation (SNP) organized an environmental incident response drill at Nhon Hoi Industrial Park - Park A at 8:00 am on June 28th, 2025.

The drill was designed with the following objectives: to prevent potential environmental incidents in the industrial park, ensuring no impact on the surrounding environment; to raise awareness, responsibility, and response skills among all employees; and to provide practical knowledge for the on-site response teams.

The scope of application is concentrated in areas with high risk of wastewater overflow such as drainage systems, tanks and wastewater pipes.

The hypothetical scenario assumes that an incident occurred on sewer line D3-1, at the manhole south of Thien Tam High-end furniture JSC’s fence. Due to blockages in the wastewater collection system caused by debris in the manholes, wastewater overflowed onto the road surface and spread out, threatening to infiltrate the stormwater drainage system.

Upon detecting the situation at 8:00 am, the Industrial Park Security Team immediately reported the incident to the Administration and Human Resources Department. The Technical - Construction Department, Security Team, and Greenery - Environment Team quickly arrived at the scene to implement containment measures and promptly handle the situation.

The equipment and tools used during the drill included: gasoline-powered pumps, specialized tank trucks, personal protective equipment, and internal communication system.

Through this drill, SNP once again affirmed its commitment to proactively controlling environmental risks, ensuring the IP’s operations are always safe, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
