The Graphene Production and Application Project by Vietnam Graphene Global Joint Stock Company has been approved for investment at Nhon Hoi A Industrial Park and is expected to commence operations in early 2026.
The Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority has just issued a decision approving the investment policy and at the same time approving the investor for the Graphene Production and Application Project of Vietnam Graphene Global Joint Stock Company.
The project will be developed at Lot B1.10, Nhon Hoi A Industrial Park, covering a factory area of 2,700 m2, with a total investment capital of 127 billion VND and an annual production capacity of 1,800kg of graphene.
According to the Binh Dinh Economic Zone Authority, the graphene production and application project proposed by Vietnam Graphene Global Joint Stock Company has the goal of operating in accordance with the industry planning in Lot B1-10, with a large investment capital rate, meeting the conditions for land allocation and land lease.
The investor commits to implementing the project with the following schedule: from February to August 2025, completing the project's legal documents; September 2025 to February 2026: installing machinery and equipment; March 2026: completing and officially putting the project into operation.
Graphene is known as the strongest material discovered, being harder than diamond yet more elastic than rubber; stronger than steel yet lighter than paper. Thanks to its unique structure composed of carbon atoms, graphene possesses remarkable properties: extremely high electron mobility, 100 times faster than silicon; thermal conductivity twice that of diamond; and electrical conductivity 13 times better than copper.
Nhon Hoi Industrial Park – Park A is a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park with an area of 630 hectares, belongs to Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, located on Phuong Mai peninsula (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province). It is divided into 2 functional areas: an industrial park with an area of 394 hectares and an urban area with an area of 236 hectares.
In 2024, Binh Dinh’s industrial parks attracted 21 industrial projects with a total investment capital of 4.309 billion VND. Among them, Sai Gon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Corporation, the owner of Nhon Hoi IP - Park A, successfully attracted 8 new investment projects with a total investment capital of 1.452 billion VND.
The enterprise was awarded a certificate of merit by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province for its outstanding achievements in implementing investment targets and developing industrial parks and clusters in the province in 2024. Contributing to increasing budget revenue and shifting the local economic structure towards industrialization.
According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Thao - Deputy General Director of Sai Gon - Nhon Hoi Industrial Park Corporation, with the achieved results, the company will continue to strive to promote and at the same time implement many innovative, flexible and diverse plans to attract investment in the Industrial Park.
This includes increasing the occupancy rate of the industrial park, focusing on attracting high-tech, environmentally friendly projects with high added value, strengthening connections with domestic enterprises to meet expansion demands, and fostering collaboration with foreign partners.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Thao also emphasized the need to upgrade Quy Nhon Port and Phu Cat Airport to reduce logistics costs, enhance competitiveness, and create more favorable conditions for investors.
"With the companionship and support of all levels of government and the business community, the company will achieve the investment and development targets for the industrial park assigned by the province in 2025, contributing to the sustainable economic development of Binh Dinh province," Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Mai Thảo expressed her expectations.
Up to now, Binh Dinh province has 6 industrial parks and 46 industrial clusters that have come into operation. By 2025, the province aims to attract at least 45 secondary projects, focusing on filling industrial parks such as Nhon Hoa, Nhon Hoi A, and Hoa Hoi (Phase 1).
