A small-volume sterile drug manufacturing plant in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Quy Nhơn City, has a scale of 120 million products per year, with a total investment of 840 billion VND.
On August 17, the Management Board of Bình Định Province's Economic Zone issued a decision approving the investment proposal and investor approval for Binh Đinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company (Bidiphar) to invest in a small-volume sterile drug manufacturing plant.
The project's objective is to invest in the construction of a new plant for the production of injectable drugs, eye drops, and other sterile drugs according to GMP-EU standards, with a scale of 120 million products per year (equivalent to 1,600 tons per year). The project covers an area of 24,966 square meters in Block A3.03, Nhon Hoi Industrial Park (belong to Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Nhon Hoi Commune, Quy Nhon City).
The project has an investment capital of 840 billion VND, with an operational period of 50 years, starting from the date the investor is granted the decision to approve the investment proposal and investor approval for the first time.
According to the aforementioned decision, from Q3/2023 to Q4/2023, the project will complete related investment procedures according to regulations; from Q4/2023 to Q1/2025, the construction of the workshop and Phase 1 support facilities, including the small-volume sterile drug manufacturing plant; Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Research and Development (R&D) center; dining hall; technical cluster, transformer station, garage, and security house will commence.
From Q2/2025 to Q3/2026, the project will proceed with the procurement and installation of machinery and equipment; assess the workshop equipment to evaluate GMP. From Q4/2026 to Q4/2027, the assessment and submission of drug registration documents, awaiting approval.
From Q1/2028 to Q4/2028, recruitment, personnel training, and official operation will take place. By the year 2030, the construction of the workshop and Phase 2 support facilities, comprising office buildings, will commence.
Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Joint Stock Company was issued Business Registration Certificate No. 4100259564 by the Department of Business Registration, Planning, and Investment of Bình Định Province on September 1, 2010, with the 11th amendment registered on May 4, 2023.
