On the afternoon of August 2, 2023, under the chairmanship of Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning Appraisal Council conducted a meeting to appraise the provincial planning for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision until 2050, aiming to become a coastal economic center, a center for science and technology, and a place applying Vietnam’s important artificial intelligence.
According to the draft Binh Dinh Provincial Planning Report for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, Binh Dinh establishes a foundation for sustainable economic development based on pillars such as science and technology, processing and manufacturing industries, information technology and AI, high-quality tourism, organic agriculture, clean agriculture and a logistics system connected to the sea port and the airports. To achieve this goal, the province focuses on 3 main breakthroughs: building modern economic and social infrastructure, green and digital transformation, and training high-quality human resources.
The main economic development pillars of Binh Dinh province include: high-tech industry and Industry 4.0, high-quality tourism, agriculture applying high technology, sustainable urbanization, logistics and seaport services. The province also defines the spatial development structure with two main regions (north and south), three development poles, and three economic coridors. The goal is to strongly develop key economic sectors in each of these spaces, such as ecological tourism, high-quality industry, and smart cities.
As an Industrial Park providing strong motivation for socio-economic development in the Central Highlands region, Nhon Hoi A Industrial Park plays an important role in the planning goals of Binh Dinh province for the period 2021 – 2030, with the vision until 2050. The investor of Nhon Hoi A Industrial Park – Saigon Nhonhoi Industrial Park Corporation (SNP) identifies clean industries, processing and manufacturing industries as the key sectors to promote economic development, contribute significantly to boost the main economic develoment pillars of Binh Dinh province in the period of 2021 – 2030.
SNP has supplemented and adjusted the 1/500 planning of the Industrial Park, with one of the main contents being the adjustment of the structure and functional division of fields to align with the direction and investment attraction situation in the new phase. According to Decision of No.514/QD-TTg dated May 8, 2019 of the the Prime Minister approving the adjustment of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone planing with the vision until 2040, Nhon Hoi IP – Park A has adjusted to become Nhon Hoi A Urban Industrial Park; divided into 2 functional zones: industrial park with an area of 394 ha and urban area with an area of 236 ha. This contributes to promoting the sustainable urbanization process of Binh Dinh province by creating diverse employment opportinities, attracting high-quality human resources and the resident to work through attraction projects of investment and developing accomanying utility services. Thereby, Nhon Hoi A Urban Industrial Park ecosystem has been formed step by step for sustainable development, creating added value, contributing to the economic growth of Binh Dinh prvince, aligining with the province;s planing goals in the period of 2021 – 2030, with the vision until 2050.
